Dr. Morgan Young, PT, DPT, was born and raised in a small town in south central Virginia. She earned her BS degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2008 from Christopher Newport University where she played on the varsity collegiate women’s soccer team. Morgan earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida in 2012 where she completed postdoctoral training in manual therapy under Dr. Paris Stanley.

She has continued her manual therapy training through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT) where she completed the Dry Needling Certification (Cert. DN) along with SMT-1, SMT-2, and SMT-3. Throughout her career Morgan has had the privilege of working alongside some of the best clinicians in the field allowing her to receive specialized mentorship and training to hone her skills in manual therapy treatment techniques including joint mobilization/manipulation, myofascial release, soft tissue mobilization, and IASTM.

Morgan has always been passionate about the field of manual physical therapy and helping others to overcome dysfunction and pain. Over the past several years, her passion and love have grown in the physical therapy field for treating and assisting patients who suffer from TMD (Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction), Headaches, Cervical/Thoracic/Lumbar spinal pain, and postural imbalances from chronic stress and anxiety, overuse activities, poor ergonomic set up, prolonged sitting for desk work, and poor forward head posture from increased computer/cell phone use. She loves the complexity of the musculoskeletal system and the challenge of helping patients to overcome pain and limitations to live their healthiest and happiest life.

When out of the office, Morgan loves enjoying the outdoors, going to coffee shops, watching college football, traveling, working out, playing sports, and spending time with her friends and family.
